NEW MORRISON "GT-SPORT"
CHASSIS FOR 1949-54 CHEVY

Art Morrison Enterprises has expanded the availability of its “GT-Sport” chassis line to include a new design for 1949-54 Chevrolets. This follows on the heels of popular “GT-Sport” offerings for Tri-5 Chevys and 1st Generation Corvettes.

Engineered from the ground up to provide vastly improved handling, ride and acceleration over the 60-year-old OEM Chevrolet chassis, the Morrison GT Sport employs a computer designed I.F.S. with tubular steel control arms and a triangulated 4-bar rear suspension. Adjustable coil-over springs are used, as well as anti-sway bars, fore and aft. Through-frame exhaust passages contribute to a lower CG for improved handling and stance.

As with all Morrison GT-Sport chassis, it is engineered to be a bolt-on installation and designed to minimize any floor modifications. The OEM body can literally be lifted off the stock frame and attached to the AME GT-Sport chassis. Morrison engineers have digitally plotted stock chassis using a Faro Arm to ensure an exact fit and ease of assembly.

The chassis can be configured to accommodate both small block and big block Chevrolet V8 engines, as well as the new LS-series powerplants. A unique transmission mount setup allows use of all popular automatic and stick-shift trannys, including PG, TH350/400, 700R4, as well as any 4-speed, Richmond 5 & 6-speed, and Tremec TKO and T-56 6-speed. An AGR power rack & pinion steering is employed.
