Manley Performance has added twenty new part numbers to its already formidable collection of Platinum Series forged pistons for 4.500" bore big block Chevy applications. The new 42cc hollow dome models join a roster of inverted dome, flat top, mini dome and 48cc hollow dome designs.

Ideal for drag racing competition and limited street use, the 42cc dome piston will deliver compression ratios ranging from approximately 11.9:1 to 14.8:1 depending on the engine’s bore, stroke and combustion chamber volume.
Engineered to provide outstanding durability at the lightest possible weight, they have a fully banded skirt for increased stability, yet weigh as little as 615 grams.

Forged from high strength 2618 alloy aluminum, Manley’s Platinum Series pistons have earned a reputation for outstanding durability. Extra care is taken to ensure that ring grooves are perfectly perpendicular to the skirt, assuring optimum piston ring seal. They are machined for .043" top, .043" 2nd and 3/16" oil rings. A premium quality chrome moly wrist pin and round wire locks are included with each piston.
