A new generation of small diameter, lightweight dual valve springs has been added to Manley Performance’s highly acclaimed Nextek® series. Made of ultra-clean, high tensile strength material, their compact dual design allows the engine to rev higher and with improved valve train control compared to heavier dual and triple spring setups. They accept smaller,
lighter retainers which also promote a higher RPM capability.

Other important technical considerations include use of a multi-step surface enhancement that significantly improves fatigue strength, and a coil design that reduces friction, which lowers operating temperatures. Manley’s NexTek® springs are noted for their ability to maintain desired pressures with minimal load loss and exhibit outstanding long-term reliability.

These new small diameter dual springs have been thoroughly tested, including extensive Spintron and on-track evaluation in all manner of applications, including Top Fuel.

Manley is initially releasing four new part numbers in its
lightweight collection. They include #221455-16 (1.500" O.D. 438 lbs. at 2.175" and 1,235 lbs. at 1.175"), #221457 (1.500" O.D., 395 lbs. at 2.150" and 1,155 lbs. at 1.200"), #221456-16 (1.500" O.D., 316 lbs. at 2.100" and 1,036 lbs. at 1.200") and #221460-16 (1.522" O.D., 400 lbs. at 2.250" and 1,300 lbs. at 1.300".
