NEW
MANLEY PLATINUM SERIES
PISTONS FOR MITSUBISHI EVO X
Respected engine components manufacturer Manley Performance has introduced a new series of pistons to its premium Platinum Series line, designed for the 2008-up Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X with 4B11 T/C engines
Forged from high strength 2618 alloy aluminum, Manley Platinum Series pistons are FEA-engineered to be as light at possible while maintaining complete reliability. The 86mm and 86.5mm bore pistons have a -5cc dish for a static compression ratio of 9:1.
Pistons are precision CNC-machined with a proprietary top ring groove machining process that assures optimum control of the groove’s size, geometry, flatness and finish. Final turning is performed in one fixturing, resulting in complete squareness of the rings to the cylinder wall for superior sealing. These pistons feature moly coated skirts, which reduces friction and frees up horsepower. The coating also protects against scuffing and galling—especially at cold engine start-up.
Relentless quality control, including Federal Form-Scan gauging validates ideal skirt indexing to the wrist pin and skirt-to-skirt polarity.
A 2.250" long .120" wall premium steel wrist pin is included with every piston, contributing to the overall superior value of Manley’s Platinum Series pistons. Thicker wall pins are also available for heavily boosted applications.
