AVIAID EXPANDS SELECTION OF OIL
SYSTEMS FOR FORD "FE" ENGINES
The fabled “FE” engine, which came in 352, 390, 406, 427 and 428 c.i.d. versions and powered Ford’s performance offerings for nearly 20 years, has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity thanks to a plethora of new components from the aftermarket, including aluminum blocks, heads, shaft-mount rockers and the like. Aviaid, the company that was the OEM supplier to Shelby for the Cobra and GT-40, has likewise introduced new oil system components for the FE and just published a new brochure covering the 1958-76 engine series.
Aviaid now offers five oil pans for the FE, covering both wet and dry sump applications and various chassis configurations. The wet sump pans are designed to provide optimum oil control in street and road racing environments, while the dry sump pans work well in all forms of competition.
For the ultimate in pan evacuation and controlled lubrcation, Aviaid offers 4-stage dry sump pumps (3 scavenge and 1 pressure section) in both Series 1 & 2 models. They mount to the FE block and utilize an HTD belt drive. To complete the installation, Aviaid has dry sump tanks, filter adapters and all necessary hoses and fittings.
