Since its founding in 1961, lubrication systems pioneer Aviaid has developed what is likely the industry’s largest selection of pump mounting brackets. In addition to its application-specific mounts, Aviad has also developed some new “universal” mounts that can be adapted to a variety of engines, from 4 cylinders on up. The “fixed” system employs a plate that is bolted to the block, with the pump attached at the optimum fore/aft position through use of the appropriate 1/4-20 mounting holes in the grid. Final belt tension is set through use of 0.030” shims supplied in the kit.

For those who want the belt tension set through adjusting the pivot angle of the pump, Aviaid has developed a new mounting system to efficiently accomplish this task. It features a block-mount plate with a pivot bolt, which works in conjunction with an Aviaid oil pump equipped with special mounting blades. The pump position is maintained through use of an adjustable turnbuckle.
