MORRISON INTRODUCES "GT-SPORT" FRONT
CLIP FOR 2nd GEN CAMARO/FIREBIRD
Following the success of its bolt-in front subframe assembly for 1st Gen Camaros, the chassis experts at Art Morrison Enterprises have developed a GT-Sport clip for 2nd Generation (1970-81) Camaros and Firebirds.
Easily installed without the need to do any welding or fabrication, the Morrison GT-Sport front subframe features C6 Corvette forged aluminum control arms and Strange adjustable coil-over springs. Through use of a specially modified ‘Vette spindle with a lowered steering arm, the AGR power rack & pinion, sits 2" lower in the frame and allows for a ground-hugging stance and improved handling.
Designed through use of FEA (finite element analysis), the 105 lb. front clip has outstanding strength and stiffness, yet it significantly lighter than the bulky OEM unit. With reduced unspring weight, C6 suspension, and other improvements, vehicles equipped with a Morrison GT-Sport front subframe will benefit from improved acceleration, braking and handling.
It features a near-stock tread width, and can accommodate wider-than-stock tires. The GT-Sport clip can be configured for small block, big block and LS-series engines, as well as most popular GM automatics and wide range of OEM and aftermarket 4, 5 and 6-speed manual transmisions.
